Juan is the Owner and Director of J&D Quality Smash Repairs, bringing more than 25 years of experience in the automotive collision repair industry. A qualified Panel Beater and Business Administrator, Juan combines extensive hands-on technical expertise with strong business and industry knowledge.
Juan began his career by completing his Panel Beating apprenticeship at The Bump Shop, where he developed a strong foundation in traditional panel beating techniques, structural repairs and quality craftsmanship. He later gained valuable experience working within the insurance repair sector, including NRMA insurance repairs, building an in-depth understanding of insurer requirements, repair processes and quality standards.
Having inherited the family business from his father, Juan has continued to grow and develop J&D while maintaining the values of quality workmanship, integrity and customer service on which the business was founded.
His technical experience spans virtually every aspect of vehicle repair and presentation, including traditional and modern panel beating techniques, Paintless Dent Repair (PDR), plastic welding, car detailing and leather repairs. With more than 10 years of specialised PDR experience, Juan is also a Master Applicator of IGL Coatings products.
Juan remains very much a hands-on Director, providing customer quotations, solving complex repair challenges and overseeing repair quality across the workshop. His philosophy is simple: there is very little he can’t find a way to fix.
Passionate about innovation and continuous improvement, Juan continually embraces new automotive technologies, advanced repair methods, specialised equipment and processes to ensure J&D keeps evolving alongside the automotive industry.
With such a broad range of expertise and services available under one roof, Juan likes to describe the business as the “Juan Stop Shop” — his own take on a one-stop shop and a reflection of the versatility and problem-solving approach that have become part of J&D.
