Head of Paint Shop

Troy is the Head of the Paint Shop at J&D Quality Smash Repairs, bringing more than 30 years of experience in automotive refinishing, all gained within the Brisbane automotive industry. Having been part of the J&D team for over 10 years, Troy brings extensive technical knowledge, craftsmanship and experience to the business.

Highly skilled in automotive refinishing, colour matching and specialised paint applications, Troy has particular expertise in the advanced techniques required for candy colours and custom finishes.

With a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to quality, Troy oversees the day-to-day operations of the paint department, guiding the team and ensuring every vehicle is refinished to a consistently high standard.

In 2026, Troy became a certified IGL Coatings applicator, further expanding his technical capabilities and knowledge of advanced automotive coating and vehicle protection systems.

Combining decades of hands-on experience with knowledge of modern paint systems, refinishing technologies and techniques, Troy plays an important role in maintaining J&D’s reputation for quality workmanship and exceptional finishes.
